Is an MPV car made by Toyota Motor Corporation which has been produced in Indonesia by Toyota-Astra Motor since 2004. The Toyota Kijang Innova is the successor of the Toyota Kijang Innova with the Honda Taruna Freed minibus. Twin Toyota Kijang Innova is one of three Toyota products that use the IMV platform (the others are Toyota Hilux and Toyota Fortuner). In other countries, this car is simply called the Toyota Innova. Innova is also sold in India (replaces Toyota Qualis), Malaysia and Singapore (replaces Unser), Philippines (replaces Toyota Revo), Taiwan (replaces Toyota Zace Surf), Vietnam (replaces Toyota Zace) and Thailand. This car is also available in the markets of Brunei Darussalam, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Toyota Kijang Innova was first launched on September 1, 2004 at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) assembly plant in Karawang, West Java.
Machine
Equipped with 2.0 liter (136 hp) 1TR-FE VVT-i and 2.7 liter 2TR-FE VVT-i engines for gasoline engines, as well as 2.5 liter (102 hp) 2KD-FTV D-4D direct injection 4-stroke diesel turbocharged common rail without intercooler for the diesel engine. The 2.7 liter version, which is commonly called the "Arabic Kijang" by the Indonesian people, has been discontinued since 2007 due to fuel consumption which is considered more wasteful than the 2.0 liter version. When it was marketed, the 2.7-liter version was only sold in one variant, namely type V with automatic transmission. This engine is the same as the engine used by the Toyota Fortuner gasoline.
Business Type
Only sold in Indonesia, the Business type is the J type with some features removed. Equipped with front air conditioning, power steering, crank model glass, and seats with a capacity of 5 people.
Type J
Only sold in the Philippines and Indonesia, type J is the most standard variant of the Kijang Innova. Equipped with front air conditioning, power steering, power windows, standard 2-tone interior, and 14-inch steel wheels. Not equipped with audio equipment. In the second facelift, Type J has been equipped with a 2 DIN CD Head Unit with 4 Speakers, AC Double Blower, 14-inch steel wheels covered with Wheel Caps, Rear Wipers & Intermittent Wipers. The third facelift has been equipped with SRS Airbags and Belt Pretensioners and Force Limiters (PT/FL), but on the exterior the Type J has not undergone any exterior changes. Introduced in 2009 at a price of Rp. 179 million. This type is only available in manual transmission only with 2.0L gasoline engine.
Type E
In many countries, type E is the most standard variant. Equipped with standard keys (without alarm and remote control), no rear AC blower (single blower) (at the turn of the Euro 2 engine, type E has been equipped with AC double blower and Toyota Auto Alarm), and no fog lamps, but already using wheels aluminum (in type E Automatic). It has added a cassette head unit and 4 speakers. In the second facelift, the Type E now uses the latest wheels, a 2 DIN CD Head Unit with 4 Speakers, and Rear Wipers. Type G
In type G added a 2 DIN CD head unit, parking sensors, fog lights, rear AC blower (double blower). Starting to provide a captain seat model, the middle passenger seat is separated into 2 separate seats under the name G Luxury.
Type V
is the highest type of Kijang Innova. Equipped with air bags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), information panel (MID/Multi Information Display), digital AC controller, leather seats, head unit with DVD and optional captain seats, and keys equipped with Immobilizer to minimize the risk of theft or theft. Part of the interior panels use wood panels. In the third facelift, this type is provided by Rear Seat Entertainment which was previously only present in the Luxury variant.
Luxury Series
In 2009, the Luxury Series type was launched on types G and V. Equipped with Mirrors with Turn Signals, captain seats, and Rear Seat Entertainment equipped with Wireless Headphones and Remote Control. In this second facelift, the Luxury Series variant has been equipped with Rear License Garnish, Front & Rear Bumper Spoiler, Side Spoiler. The Luxury series version is only available in a 2.0 liter petrol variant.
The second generation Toyota Kijang Innova was launched on November 23, 2015 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The second generation Toyota Kijang Innova is a completely new vehicle with a new platform and several types of engines. This completely refurbished MPV has embedded a 2.0 liter Dual VVT-i 1TR-FE petrol engine which is capable of producing 139 PS of power at 5600 rpm and 183 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.
While the diesel engine of this car is a variable nozzle turbocharged (VNT) engine with a 2.4 liter 2GD-FTV intercooler that is capable of producing 149 PS of power at 3400 rpm with a torque of 36.7 kg.m (automatic transmission) and 34.9 kg.m (automatic transmission) manual) in the range of 1200 to 2600 rpm. The transmission options available on this car are a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. There are three types for this car, namely, Type G, Type V, and Type Q which are distinguished by their features. For the safety aspect, this car carries seven airbags (three airbags on type G, V, and Q Gasoline), vehicle stability control (VSA), and grade control (HSA).
In India, the Toyota Innova appeared with an additional variant called the Innova Crysta with a 1GD-FTV 2.8 Liter diesel engine as the highest variant and was introduced at the 2016 Auto Expo.
In the Philippines, this car was officially sold using a 2,800 cc 1GD-FTV engine in February 2016.
IN the Middle East, this car was sold using the 2,700 cc 2TR-FE engine on April 6, 2016 in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), by Toyota's distributor in the UAE, Al Futtaim Motors.
On January 16, 2017, Toyota launched the latest variant of the Kijang Innova, namely the Venturer, along with a facelifted version of the Corolla Altis (E170). This variant is the most luxurious variant of the Kijang Innova, and is above the Q Diesel type. This variant also replaces the Q Diesel type which has been discontinued.
On August 10, 2017 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2017, Toyota again updated the Kijang Innova with various refreshments. In accordance with their respective characters, all grades of New Kijang Innova, G, V, Q and Venturer get a touch of refreshment such as the use of Auto Folding Outer Mirror on the Innova Q and Venturer, then the use of Side Visor and Rear Bumper Guard in all grades. In addition, all grades of Kijang Innova have also been equipped with an Emergency Kit. New Kijang Innova V is the grade that gets the most refreshments, where this grade has used headlamps with LED Projector Headlamp technology with Auto Leveling Device, then the radiator grille (Radiator Lower Grille) looks more impressive with black color (black painting).
Grade V also gets a touch of wooden instrument panel so that it looks more luxurious. The rear view gets a touch of license garnish to support a more dazzling display. The same is also done for the New Kijang Innova Q (gasoline) which now also uses a rear license garnish. The appearance of the latest Grade Q line-up feels more manly because it uses R 17 size wheels like the Venturer. Completeness of entertainment grade Q and Venturer features has also increased with the installation of WSVGA 1,024x600, SD Card, USB, AV-In for the back seat or Rear Seat Entertainment.
On August 2, 2018 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2018, Toyota again updated the petrol variant of the Kijang Innova to meet Euro 4 emission standards.
Q type
This is the highest type of the second generation Kijang Innova before the facelift. This type appeared in 2015 with 2 engine options, namely the 2.0L Dual VVT-i (Gasoline) engine and the 2.4L GD (Diesel) engine, where the diesel variant of this type was available until 2017 before being replaced by the Venturer. And this car is equipped with 7 SRS Airbags, Keyless Entry facilities (the function of opening the door only by pressing a button), Start / Stop Engine Button, Height Adjustable Seatbelt (seat belts that can be adjusted in height), MID (Multi Information Display), control system integrated audio on the steering wheel (Audio Steering Switch), 2 captain-seats in the second row, has 3 headrests in the third row seats.

Luxury Series
Toyota launched a special Luxury variant for types G and V, both Diesel engines (before the facelift) and Gasoline. The Luxury variant gets an additional rear bumper ornament, spare tire cover, side body molding, additional soundproofing, and anti-rust. Especially for the V Luxury type, you get an additional license plate garnish. The Luxury variant on the second generation Kijang Innova before the facelift did not get a captain seat and became available as an option for the facelifted version of the second generation Kijang Innova.
TRD Sportivo

On August 17, 2020, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Toyota began marketing the limited edition TRD Sportivo variant specifically for types G and V Diesel engines. The TRD Sportivo type gets additional front and rear bumper ornaments, side skirts, side stickers, 17'' black alloy wheels and an integrated air purifier.
Facelift
Toyota Innova Venturer facelift
The facelift version of the second generation Kijang Innova for the Indonesian market was launched on October 15, 2020. Previously, this facelift version was launched in Vietnam on October 10, 2020. This facelift version is available in three types, namely G, V and Venturer and type Q gasoline. discontinued. Also available are the G Luxury and V Luxury variants with captain seats and an integrated air purifier (also used on the Venturer) which replaces the petrol Q type and is only available with a petrol engine option. All types are equipped with Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist and Anti Lock Braking System (ABS). The 8-inch touchscreen head unit that was previously used on the V type before the facelift is now used on the G type, while the V and Venturer types get a 9-inch touchscreen head unit with Android Auto and Near field communication (NFC).
