APV EARLY VERSION
Suzuki APV was first launched in 2004 and is available in three types: GA, GL and GX. The engine used is a 1.5 L G15A (GC415V) for the Indonesia/Pakistan market and a 1.6 L G16A (GC416V) for other markets, and is only combined with a 5-speed manual transmission and still uses a leaf spring model at the rear. After the APV Arena model appeared, the initial APV model was still sold as the lowest type (Blind Van, GA and GE) with 14-inch tires. This model is also the basis of the APV pickup and Mitsubishi Maven.
APV ARENA
Suzuki APV got a facelift in November 2007 and was given the name APV Arena. Available in three types: GL, GX and SGX. Changes occur not only on the exterior, but also on the interior, rear suspension with coil springs, standard 15-inch alloy wheels and an increase in engine performance from 90 PS & 122 Nm to 105 PS & 126 Nm, but down to 92.4-94.5 PS & 126 Nm since circa 2015.
APV ARENA LUXURY
In 2009, the most luxurious version was launched specifically for the Indonesian market based on the APV Arena SGX under the name APV Arena Luxury. This model has a more luxurious exterior appearance compared to the Arena model with a captain seat model passenger seat and is equipped with two tire size options: 15 and 17 inches. In 2014, APV Arena Luxury got a facelift and changed its appearance to be more luxurious with a body kit and chrome accents on the exterior.
SAFETY FEATURES
In the initial version, the APV only had safety features in the form of a safety belt and a body structure technology called TECT. For the export market (1.6 L engine like in the Philippines and Australia), it is equipped with additional safety features in the form of Dual SRS airbags and ABS brakes. In 2017, APV for the Indonesian market only received Dual SRS airbags for the GL, GX, SGX and Luxury types, but not yet equipped with ABS brakes. For the Mega Carry, the safety features available are the same as in the lower version of the APV.
